Bridging mode （Vmnet0）

VMnet0： Used for virtual switch under virtual bridge network .

Bridging network refers to the local physical network card and virtual network card through VMnet0 Virtual switches bridge ,

Physical network card and virtual network card are in the same position in the topology （ Virtual network card is neither Adepter VMnet1 Neither Adepter VMnet8）.

Then the physical network card and the virtual network card are in the same network segment , A virtual switch is equivalent to a switch in a real network . So two network cards IP The address should also be set to the same segment .

1. Click the virtual network editor in the upper left corner and the network adapter in the lower right corner , Select bridge mode all . 

2 . Right click the computer properties , Open the following interface , Select remote in advanced system settings , Check allow remote assistance to connect to this computer and allow remote connection to this computer and only allow computer connections running Remote Desktop using network level authentication .

3. Automatic and manual connection

Auto connect ： The computer is connected to a wireless network , Virtual machines choose wireless network cards , For network cable connection, choose network card .

Manual connection ： Enter the network address manually .

VMnet8： For virtual NAT Virtual switch under the network .

stay NAT In the network , use VMware Network Adepter VMnet8 The virtual network adapter , Host computer VMware Network Adepter VMnet8 The virtual network card is connected directly to VMnet8 The virtual switch communicates with the virtual network card .VMware Network Adepter VMnet8 The role of virtual network card is limited to and VMnet8 The network segment communicates , It doesn't give VMnet8 Network segment provides routing function ,

So virtual machine virtual one NAT The server , Enable virtual network card to connect to Internet. actually ,VMware Network Adepter VMnet8 The function of virtual network card is to provide an interface for the communication between host and virtual machine , Even if the physical network card of the host is turned off , Virtual machines can still connect to Internet, Make the host and virtual machine visit each other .

VMnet1： For virtual Host-only Virtual switch under the network

Virtual network is a totally closed network , The only thing it can access is the host . Actually Host-Only The Internet and NAT The network is very similar , The difference is Host-Only The Internet doesn't NAT service , So the virtual network can't connect to Internet.

The communication between host and virtual machine is through VMware Network Adepter VMnet1 Virtual network card to achieve .

Same as NAT equally ,VMware Network Adepter VMnet1 Virtual network card IP Address is also VMware System specified ,

The virtual machine generated at the same time DHCP Server and virtual network card IP The address is in the same network segment , But it is different from physical network card IP The address is not in the same segment .
